3x | Nervape CAMP Series | Majoncho

For me, Daily represents the work we do every day, the routines that keep us moving, and the effort behind our everyday lives.

My main inspiration comes from the colorful, traditional handwoven baskets found throughout El Salvador. These baskets are closely connected to local markets, some of the busiest and most vibrant places in the country. Markets are full of movement, sounds, colors, and people working hard every day to support their families.

The name Majoncho comes from a small, plump variety of banana found in El Salvador. It's a fruit I associate with our local markets, traditional baskets, and everyday Salvadoran life. The yellow color of the sculpture is also inspired by this fruit, creating another connection to my roots.

Through the Nervape figure, I wanted to bring these elements together. The colorful patterns inspired by woven baskets represent the energy and constant movement of daily life, while the bright yellow connects the sculpture to the familiar presence of the majoncho banana in our culture.

Ultimately, this piece is a celebration of both hard work and the joy of being Salvadoran. It's a tribute to the people who keep our country moving every day, and to the colors, traditions, and small details that make El Salvador feel like home.
