DESCRIPTIONS

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The artwork reflects Lugano through the colors and natural elements that shape its landscape. The lake, mountains, flowers, and vegetation become a flowing composition of organic forms and vibrant colors across the Nervape figure.

Nature embraces the figure almost like a second skin, transforming it into a small living landscape. Colors and shapes meet, overlap, and grow across its surface, expressing the harmony between the city and its natural surroundings.

Through this connection, the theme "Welcome" becomes an open and joyful gesture: an invitation to enter Lugano's landscape, experience its colors, and feel the energy of a place where nature is always present.

NERVAPE CAMP

A camp is a place you set up for a while, then pack up and carry on. Nervape CAMP travels from city to city, and each stop leaves something behind.

Ten artists from ten cities each got the same blank 3x and one word to start from. Ten apes came back, each one of one.

This piece was shown at Nervape CAMP — Lugano 2026.
